Fired by talent, passion, energy and commitment, members of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra’s youth education and development programme will show you why music is good for the soul. The CPO’s youth development programme has been transforming the lives of hundreds of young people from the southern suburbs to Khayelitsha and Atlantis, since 2003.

Live TV performances, DVD recordings and mainstream and community concerts show that nurturing talent and allowing young people to shine reaches out far beyond the youngsters themselves with, dividends for decades to come.

They will perform at The Constantia Village from 11 am daily, between 17 and 24 December. The magical atmosphere and sheer musical talent they bring is not to be missed.

You can support these hopeful musicians with small donations and welcoming smiles, which you won’t be able to suppress once you witness them in action.

“I am truly grateful that we have the opportunity to raise funds that will benefit our music careers. I am also really happy that we can do it whilst doing what we love the most: playing music,” says Carin Donson, French horn player for the youth orchestra.
